Starting Lineups, or SLUs, were a line of collectible sports action figures and cards, manufactured from 1998 to 2001, with a short lived revival in 2022. Each figure was typically accompanied by a collectible trading card. Originally envisioned as a line of toys for children, these figures became one of the hottest collectibles of the 1990s, spawning an entire industry of collectible sports figures that still exists today. The line featured athletes from the big four sports, MLB, NHL, NFL and NBA, as well as other sports, such as Nascar, Golf and iconic Olympic personalities.
